e-Motiq pre-order opens (Europe)
Brompton's e-Motiq electric range opens for pre-order in Europe (on sale 28 Oct), including the refreshed Electric G-Line with SuperRoll+ and Handlebar Control. For the G-Line this is an evolution — its motor was already rear-hub since 2024. EU price €4,249.

Global e-Motiq announcement
Brompton rolls the e-Motiq drive system across C, P and G Lines (plus a new electric T Line). Motor: 250W rear-hub, 24–30 Nm, detachable 345Wh battery, up to 90 km claimed, OTA updates, adaptive range over the first 100 km. For the G-Line this is evolution, not a motor relocation — it originated the rear-hub system in 2024.
-
Current line-up
Lineup: manual G-Line 8-speed base (no rack) and with Roller Frame (Alfine hub, 307%); Electric G-Line e-Motiq with SuperRoll+ (4-speed derailleur, 160%, 345Wh). Four colours — Adventure Orange, Traildust White, Forest Green and Space Black (new for MY2026).
B The 2026 update
The “new 2026 G-Line” is often misread as an all-new bike. It isn’t. The manual Alfine 8-speed G-Line is unchanged. What’s new is the e-Motiq electric evolution. The G-Line’s motor has been a rear hub since 2024, so on the G-Line, e-Motiq adds a torque sensor, OTA updates and SuperRoll+ rather than moving the motor. New, too: the Space Black colour and the limited Electric G-Line City+.
C Common misconceptions
"The G-Line comes in Sunset Orange."
No — the G-Line orange is Adventure Orange. "Sunset Orange" is a C-Line colour.
"The 2024 Electric G-Line used a front-hub motor."
No — it was rear-hub from launch (Brompton’s first rear-hub e-bike). The front-to-rear switch applies only to the C and P Lines.
